Abraham “Babu” Thomas was born in 1946 to the late Mathen Thomas and Saramma Thomas in Maramon, Kerala, India. “Babu” was the eldest son of six children, and early on had the natural insight and care for his siblings and parents. After helping build a strong and contributing household, he left the homestead to Doha where he worked to continue to support the family. After marrying his beloved wife, Saramma, they both soon found themselves building a new family life in Yukon, OK.

With family by his side, friends from the local community & church to grow with, and a drive to nurture and care for anyone in need, he would take great care to be a compassionate host, making certain that a meal, a stay, and even just a conversation was well worth the visit. For those moments that someone needed a ride, direction, or help outside of the home, he was willing and present to fulfill that as well.
Through the years, he was a hard worker, a good husband, a beloved father, and a volunteer to his community. His humor was his most notable characteristic. He put smiles on faces the moment he walked in the door and is most likely doing the same as he walks through the gates of Heaven today.
Abraham Thomas is preceded in death by parents Mathen Thomas and Saramma Thomas and Mathai Thomas and Raju Thomas. He is survived by his wife, Saramma Thomas; children, Mathew “Bobby” Thomas, and Brett and Betsy Sander; siblings, Thomas and Moncy Thomas, Saji and Valsamma Mathew, Annamma Thomas (Kerala, India), Omana Thomas, and Mathew and Jaya John; alongside a large community of friends and family who will always hold him in their memories.
