Larry Robert Ingram, of Okmulgee, OK, passed from this life on May 23rd, 2019, at the age of 71 years old. His parents, Lawrence and Nina welcomed him into the world on October 8, 1947, in Lindsay, California. Larry spent most of his childhood growing up in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, and graduated from Okmulgee High School in 1968. From an early age, he started working as a paperboy and cut grass for his neighbors. Larry worked as a graphic designer, manually editing pictures via air brush techniques, creating pamphlets for businesses, and editing manuals and manuscripts for prominent businesses. His hobbies were more than just a passing interest, they were life-long pursuits. Larry enjoyed hunting deer and elk with his brother Dennis for several years and riding his mountain bike. He studied Karate throughout his life and earned many achievements: he received his Godan Black Belt 5th Dan for GoJu-Ryu Karate, and was promoted to the Gold Belt Sword and Satori-Ryu Budo Oklahoma Hall of Fame in March 2019 for San-Do-Ryu Self Defense. Larry had a deep love for music and played both the electric and bass guitar in local bands at the VFW and various casinos. At different events and family get togethers, he would take his custom BBQ smoker and cook for everyone.
