On December 14, of 2008 a sassy little girl entered this world as Maelyn Noema Wright. She was witty, animated, loved to laugh and made friends everywhere she went. She was a real impatient little “Sassafras” just like her twin sister. “Sassafras” was beautiful on the outside and the inside too, she was full of empathy, and even at times told on herself even when nobody else knew what she had told to her “Dear Dumb Diary”

Maelyn loved reading books, going to gymnastics, and she really loved drawing and designing clothes. She expressed her interest in becoming either a writer for a magazine or newspaper or a fashion designer. She loved anything pink. She always looked forward to shopping at the mall and making her rounds for the specifics she liked… lipstick, dresses, shoes and makeup and loved anything pink. She would finish up with popcorn and let you know it was time to go.
Maelyn was also a nature girl who enjoyed family trips to the lake. She found these trips to be relaxing and had fun when the whole family would help with cooking dinner. She loved Mexican Food and Italian dinners but she really preferred the taste of something when it came straight off the grill.
Maelyn attended Pleasant Grove School from Pre-k to 3rd grade, and started at North Rock Creek for 4th grade. Maelyn’s best subjects in school, were reading, science and art, but she really loved it all. She lived for recess and lunch so she could hang out with her friends.
This summer, Maelyn at the age of 10, made the biggest decision she would ever be faced to make. Maelyn chose to publicly profess her faith by accepting Christ into her heart. She was an amazing girl and always had been, but as soon as she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior, her heart overflowed with love & empathy.
Maelyn, and her twin sister Braelyn were miracle babies. Both girls were born with medical issues and together, they survived becoming stronger and stronger as the years went by.
Maelyn was always a fighter, just like their mother Majesta, who said goodby to her girls a year and a half ago during her battle with cancer.
On August 28, 2019, Miss Maelyn Noema Wright left her part of their Legacy of perseverance, to her twin sister Braelyn and finished her fight in this life. “No matter what life throws at you, keep pushing through it”
To her family, Maelyn has orchestrated a legacy of healing,. by gathering together in pain, together they will grieve, and they will heal.
